Gony Weiss, M.D.
Gony Weiss, M.D. is a Licensed Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist who is known for her empathic, caring, and comprehensive approach to patient care. Dr. Weiss has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with emotional, behavioral, social, and relational problems and believes in the importance of holistic, collaborative, strengths-focused treatment. Dr. Weiss evaluates and treats individuals with a broad range of mental health issues including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, eating disorders, substance use disorders, developmental disorders, school-related problems, family conflicts, and relationship issues.
Dr. Weiss completed her residency training in adult psychiatry and fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry in New York City at The St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Weiss received her medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine-New York American Program.
During her training, Dr. Weiss worked with a multitude of patients in the outpatient, inpatient, school, and day treatment settings. Her numerous, rewarding patient experiences have reinforced to her the importance of holistic, compassionate treatment in helping children achieve stability, build upon their strengths, and grow up to enjoy their gifts. Dr. Weiss' approach to patient care has also been recognized by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists as she has received national educational awards, published academic research articles, and presented important research about ADHD at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists Annual Meeting.
